Troops of GB Scouts are currently depl in whole of Gilgit Baltistan and performing operation/ internal security duties. Troops and families of Gilgit Baltistan Scouts were previously dependent on various private and public sector healthcare facilities for their medical issues.
In order to address repeated requests of troops and their families for provision of quality healthcare facilities at their door step, Scouts Medical Complex was established at Minwar Garrison in June 2019.
Currently Scouts Medical Complex is providing quality healthcare facilities to the troops and families at Minawar Garrison in the field of General Laparocopic Surgeon, Medical Specialist, Child Specialist, Gynecologist, Paediatric, Psychatrist, Anesthetics, Radiologist and Dental for which capable and qualified specialists have been enrolled on Contract basis.
Due to inceasing work Ioad two new block were build in record time of 16 Months. Block B ( Emergency & Trauma Centre) was made functional in Dec 2020 & Block C (OT & ICU Block ) was made functional in Aug 2021.
